When the frame is involved
Most cars today have a unibody: the body is the frame. A hard front, rear or side hit can shift mounting points by a few millimeters. You may not see it, but you feel it: doors and the hood don't line up, the car pulls, tires wear unevenly, or new panels just don't fit.
How we do it
- Teardown and inspection. We remove the damaged parts and look at the structure behind them.
- Measuring. We compare the structure against the manufacturer's dimensions to find what moved and by how much.
- Straightening or replacing. Pulled back into spec where the manufacturer allows it; replaced where it doesn't.
- Checks after repair. Panel gaps, alignment, and sensor and camera calibration where the car requires it.
Structural repairs are where the first insurance estimate is most often low, because the damage is hidden. We document everything with photos and send the supplement to the insurer. See why the first estimate is often low.
Insurance claim or paying yourself
With insurance, we work with your adjuster directly: photos, estimate and supplements for hidden damage. In California you choose the shop, not your insurer (here's how). Paying yourself? Send photos on WhatsApp and get a written estimate before any work starts.
